Jama's Biography :
Jama is Knoxville native, born & raised in the Farragut area at the time when Farragut was just a bleep on the map. Boy has it grown and developed in just under 40 years! Jama attended Farragut schools and the University of TN. She is a very “outdoorsy” person and has never met a mound of dirt she doesn't love. She is an avid “gardener” from the sweet taste of the summer vegetables to beautiful flowering landscape that thrives here in Knoxville’s climate. She even loves a summer contest on who can grow the best tasting plump orange tomato! If she's not out selling houses, she is usually playing in the dirt. She also loves the lake like, snow skiing and animals of all kinds. Jama volunteers for several animal rescue groups and is a volunteer for the University of TN’s HABIT program. She also volunteers for mobile meals and Habitat for Humanity. She currently “parents” three spoiled fur babies: Minka, a cantankerous Shar Pei, Blaze the ferocious Bulldog and Penelope the mini pig who is the ham of the show.
Jama began her real estate career in 1987 and started working for her mother, Shirley, who owned her own real estate firm. When Jama and her mother first started in real estate they specialized in the “relocation” side of the industry. Both trained in Denver, CO with Relocation Resources and focused on helping customers relocating in and out of town. In the early 90’s, they went to work for Knoxville’s most recognized successful developer and “local” builder who was the mastermind behind some of the area’s most successful neighborhoods. They were the exclusive sales agents for Whittington Creek, Whispering Woods, Andover, Braddock’s Place, Saint Ives and Ansley Woods to mention a few. Jama has enjoyed building lasting relationships for over 30 years with her customers and consider many of them family and friends.
Jama prides herself on providing a “concierge” level of service. She believes homes sales and purchases are not a “one size fits all” process and requires specialized attention to meeting their client’s needs. Whether it’s a customized marketing sales plan for our sellers or pin pointing exactly the desires, needs and “have to haves” of the purchaser. She is always available to accommodate her client’s needs and schedule’s not matter what demands they may have on their family and work schedules. Jama is here to “guide” our customers to get the best value and make the wisest decisions when it comes to preparing offers or pricing homes to sell for the best price in the fastest time.
